Yamaha 5000-12 problem

The amp turns on and the two channels show inputs but there is no sound from any input ......
what is the problem?????

Would that be an EMX5000-12?

I assume you mean an input signal shows up on the VU meters but nothing comes from the speaker output connections? Then first thing I look for is blown fuses in the power amp circuits. And unfortunately, fuses usually blow for a reason, most common reason would be a failure of the power amp.

yes it is an EMX..........How can I check the fuses ?????.........
I don't hear the fan running either ......and I understand that could lead to overheat .....
so where do I start ?
