  • Advice for Varistor and thermistor power supply Behringer DS16

I have a burnt varistor and thermistor in a Behringer DS16 powersupply ( SMPSU11) Markings are TVR431 on the varistor and SCK103 on the thermistor.
Can someone give me advise to order spare's ?

    Thank you

Googling on TVR varistors that number you gave doesn't seem right. http://www.atcsemitec.co.uk/pdfdocs/...gTVRSeries.pdf

Check this thread for replacements for the SCK103: https://www.edaboard.com/showthread....mistor-sck-103

I just double checked the markings, it really says TVR 431...

Agree. I'm wondering if there aren't some numbers missing. Maybe they got burned off or is the thing cracked and maybe some numbers are no longer legible. Something like TVR-14431?

Any chance that thermistor is SCK108 instead of 103? 108 means 10 ohms cold and 8 amps max current. 103 ought to then mean 10 ohms cold and only 3A max current That seems low to me.

I think the Behringer unit is actually S16 rather than DS16?
You can get the whole supply for around $50 here (if they have stock):

TVR431 will be a 275VAC varistor. It for clamping mains borne voltage spikes & the unit will work without it (for testing). Just match the body diameter 14mm / 20mm etc, and get one thats 275VAC rated & you're good to go.
If the thermistor is SCK103, then try digikey, element 14, RS etc as Glebert suggested
