I have a modeling amp, a fender GT100 to be exact but there are no schematics. I need to put a small computer fan in it to cool the CPU but i have 2 questions, both of them with respect to getting it done without injecting noise into the amp circuit.
1-what to look for spec wise? Brushless? anything i should look for?
2-what voltage would you recommend ? I ask this because i assume there are certain components who's supply would be least likely to cause noise issue. In other words, if for example a certain typical component like say an op-amp's supply would be a good place, then id pick a 12v fan. So what typical SS components would be good candidates to leech power from w/o causing noise issues and what voltage would it likely be? Or if i should be looking at a different way like maybe tapping off the AC rectifier and dropping it to say 12v and getting a fan thats 12 or some other such thing?
Or just simply, how would you do it?
