I have to ask: did we try contacting the company?

They say it will need to be shipped back overseas. I get the impression they are a very small outfit and probably farm out the repairs or do board swaps.
It's one of those 'check for anything simple, min. bench fee' scenarios that I end up spending more 'free' time on out of curiosity.
Basic supply levels seem to be there, next I guess I'll start looking up chip numbers to see what basic checks I can make.
