Sorry to revive this old thread, but I wanted to give it closure. Whenever I read old threads on here with no ending I always wonder what happened to the gear. Is it sitting on a shelf somewhere collecting dust?
In this case I grabbed the Theremin off the shelf today, almost 1 year to the day since last time I had it open and started this thread. I've become maybe a little bit more knowledgable with repair (hopefully).
It ended up being severely out of tune and the LM13600 wasn't amplifying. With a new LM13700 and tuning, it's now working ok.
Tuning a theremin is not as simple as it seems. A bit frustrating due to the thing changing how it behaves anytime your body moves a few millimetres.
Thanks all for any input last year with this issue.
