Active and Passive

I was Wondering if its possible to put one humbucker and one emg active in the same guitar? and were to wire the passive on? i still have no idea as this is my first time iv ever modified my guitar.

It can be done, but the EMG has a low Z output, and will load down the passive pickup.

The solution is to run the passive into a buffer first, essentially making it active.

If you really want to try it without the buffer, use a 250K or 500K for both pickups.
