  • 5150 combo

My 5150 combo amp was working fine when the volume dropped out,i changed all the tubes and got the same thing ,i checked all conections and im lost does anyone think its a power supply problem, and if so i dont know where to find one

A power supply is not something you replace, it would be repaired instead. But I doubt it is power supply. Try this, plug a spare cord into the effects send jack, and the other end right back into the effects return jack. If that restores the sound, then the return jack needs service.

      Hello,

      I'm new here!!! Anyways...

I used to own a 5150 combo and the power dropped out to where it was BARELY audible regardless of settings.

Sent it to the factory, basically, the repair list ended with...Resoldered connections. It happened when I cranked it too fast. Don't know if this helps but that was what the factory did to repair it...
