  • CR2032 15mm pin spacing

    Hello,

I need to replace a battery for an old Yamaha SPX 90, and I have a lot of trouble to found a battery CR2032 with 15mm pin spacing for solder to PCB.

Anybody can tell me where I can buy here in Europe?

    Thanks.

You can get them from Amazon as well. (And probably from around a dozen European distributors).

Or if you can find a coin cell holder to install, then plain old batteries from the store will snap in.

Yes, this was the main idea. But I can't find any battery holder with 15mm pin spacing.

SO fake it. SOlder one end of the clip into the board. TAck a short wire to the other terminal and solder that to the appropriate board place. Put insulating material under the clip.

I think this was how we did it even when these units were not terribly old. The proper batteries were hard to find and expensive even then.

I used enough of them I stocked batteries with pins. Seems to me I bought them from Digikey, and didn't find them expensive. But later I decided sockets made even more sense.
