Incase any of you ever have someone ask about why their Lexicon Omega has issues recording, I figured it out and fixed it based on advice from someone.
The issue: The recording is very broken up, volume fades in and out, and you hear a static noise when using it.
Resolution: Remove the cover, locate the largest ribbon of wires, notice the area that is rubbing agaist a heat sync (looks like a big chip sticking off one of the boards), you will see where the heat sync has damaged the cable and is shorting out the wires. Simply bend the chip in slightly and wrap the wire bundle in electrical tape several times.
Reinstall cover.
the end.
