  • eating too many batteries and wall wart is noisy...B4 i buy a one spot....

How can i stop the hum ? I daisy chained a single 500ma Boss wall wart to my board with just 3 analog pedals and it works, bu the hum is loud. Is there a way to clean it up? I have tried in the past with a cap but never got it right. Before i pay $35 for a one spot combo pack i'd like to try making this work first if someone can tell me if i am fighting a losing battle or if it's easily possible.

just bought $25 bucks worth of nice quiet 2A 9V DC supply at MPJA, I had to swap the output leads (to get tip negative) and supply my own IEC cord but its dead quiet
I got a 3M extension cord (not used yet) and two 1 to 4 splitters and now I can power up to 7 pedals and the PS hides behind my amp.

A ferrite chokes on the output is often added to minimize noise, see here https://instrumentationtools.com/why...with-ferrites/

I may add a couple if I encounter noise with extension
