Did you verify that the speaker the red/black wires go to is ok? What is the number on the chip mounted on the heatsink?

Hi g1. Yes did this, get 4.5 ohms across terminals.

          TDA 200 7A. Then W990T 9940. Malaysia.

          Thx SC

TDA2007A is an obsolete chip (stereo amp IC). So any you find on ebay etc. will likely be from China and probably fakes.
If you had a scope you could check if both sides of amp chip are getting their signal inputs.
Make sure that other speaker works. Even if it measures proper resistance, it could be seized, or there could be a bad connection somewhere leading to the terminals.
Even if you could find a legit replacement chip it will be at least $10 plus shipping, not sure what it's worth putting into these.

Ah ok thanks for explaining this. I did test continuity from speaker to board.. but didn't try another speaker, or swap them I must say.

Tbh I didn't even see the chip on the heatsink!

Ok might be back on the previous avenue then, to consider this mini build. Thanks SC
