presonus 1824c non responsive/not detected.

Hi all iv been searching the inter webs for a few days now and had no joy at all with a solution. So its time to ask the pros here
It simple isnt seen by windows and just sat with a red light on its power button on start up the screen flashes all the level meters as expected then "That's all folks"

Iv repaired a few of there other units that use firewire replacing a chip that handles the communication i hope this isnt a similar issue as it looks to be an all in one solution.

Any advice is welcome

I have one that I use with my Mac. I've even successfully used it with my iPad. I suggest you try connecting it to another computer to troubleshoot--maybe it's something specific to your Windows machine.

I'm taking it to a friend's tomorrow to try another pc but looking online it's a common fault. It could well be a bad chip or firmware (I'm praying firmware) but there's not alot to them processing wise all seams to be one chip and some support circuitry.
I'll update tomorrow after iv tried mac to be sure.
