  • Behringer EUROPOWER PMP2000D with dead output channels

    Hi,

I am new to the forum and hoping somebody can help me.

I received a Behringer EuroPower PMP2000D and it has dead main output channels (L and R), but with the INPUT level indicators showing some life when i plugged a microphone or any input device in the INPUT channels...

I tried dismantling it and reseated the flex cables and cleaned them with contact cleaner and plug it back.. At least the Right Output Channel (speakon-type) begins to work. However the Left Output Channel is still dead. I tried cleaning both speakon-type output connectors and even swapped them just to confirm it isnt the speakon connector is the problem.

Still with the same condition, the left channel is dead totally dead.

I will try to probe back from the left channel output going back to the board and see what i can find.

Hope you can share me your ideas too. thank you

Try cleaning the Main/Monitor/Bridge switch on the front panel. If that doesn't work, it's best to start scoping through the circuit and see where audio is lost on the nonworking channel.

I did clean the toggle switch for Main/Mon/Bridge with crc contact cleaner and used a small hose to probe in and wiggle it back and forth without success.

Anyway, i will see what i can do.
