  • WEM Copicat Mk3 solid state - push switch problem

    Hi All,
I've been working on a WEM Copicat (very similar to my own) for a friend where the signal was going through BUT there were no effects at all. It appeared the resistor between switches 2 & 3 (see pic 1) had become desoldered from the connection on switch 3. However, what I did notice was the the switch lock side spring to switch 3 (look at the switch to the left of the 2nd picture) was previously damaged and the switch was not locking correctly when pressed down. I tried to do my best with this but alas, it appears I have broken the paxolin cover (or whatever the cover is to each switch) at the base and now the switch will not lock at all. Can anyone held as I'm really stuck as to how to repair this and get it fully working again?

    Rob

Would you post some pictures? Broken paxolin can sometimes be replaced with thin FR4 sheet which is more robust and forgiving.
