Hi All, Anyone know where I might be able to find schematics for a Rockman X100? Searched for ages, only found a few pages, very badly scanned. Looking to fix one that died in a power surge in the early 90's. Been packing it around all this time. I have a second working unit that doesn't sound nearly as good as it used to, some people said it needs a cap job. Might attempt that on the broken unit first, if I can revive it. Thanks!

See if this package is better than what you have. There is some other stuff added to the end, but the first 26 pages are for the rockmans. It's a bit too big to post here.

Thanks, everyone this is fantastic! I picked through the schematics against my rockman and the parts and layout match! Wahoo! Digging in, I think the LM386 on one channel is blown. The other channel, all options seem to work fine, echo, reverb, distortion, clean. Surprised that most of the IC's are still available except the delay ics, found NOS but pricey. Since the delay seems to be working, on the one channel that is OK Im guessing that section didn't get cooked.
Short question, so if I look on Digikey I find 3 LM386's. Two are 700mw 1 is 325mw. After picking around I haven't found output wattage mentioned anywhere, it looks like from the schematic its putting 12v across pins 4 and 6 so 6 volts across two LM386 (ground of one is hooked to + on other). The max v for each of the 3 options is 12, 15, 18, so either one 'could' work. Is there a way to find out what the wattage is on the ones I have that are working? Thanks MP.The only good solid state amp is a dead solid state amp. Unless it sounds really good, then its OK.

Thanks again, everyone. I found the right ones on Mouser, and eek, the lead time is unbeLIEvable, like years out. So I fished around, found a few LM386-1 they were not texas instruments like the originals. Cheap enough. I never heard of the company. UTC Unisonic Technologies from Taiwan. They came stuck on a little piece of that antistat foam. Worried about going through all that work and these not being as good as the originals. Maybe I should wait? The only good solid state amp is a dead solid state amp. Unless it sounds really good, then its OK.

Worked up the nerve last week to get the soldering iron out. This unit has tighter circuit boards than Ive fiddled with in the past, and my eye sight isn't getting any better, sadly. I have 3 of these, and this unit has badly lifted traces on the circuit board. I got the bad LM386 unsoldered, cleaned up the board, and also took out the big electrolytic caps and replaced those. 2 of the wires connecting the 2 circuit boards were broken, replaced those as well, and reflowed some of the ugly looking solder connections. Everything went back together erfectly except one anchor pad on one of the N/C pins on the LM386 came off the board. Sounds a-MA-zing. The harmonics and tone is just great for what this is. Every bit as great as I remember it back when I got it. Thanks everyone for tips and suggestions and putting up with my questions. The only good solid state amp is a dead solid state amp.
