  • Silver Face Twin (1973) Master Volume pot

    Hello folks,
Does anyone have a source for the 1M A master volume pot w/DPST pull switch on the rear? I see where one was for sale on Reverb, but has been sold. I looked at Amp Repair Parts site & they don't have it.
The rotational piece with the wiper on it is cracked in half on this 1973 Twin Reverb amp. Here are the numbers off the pot: 011540 1377303
    Thanx, glen

Someone on here had a stash a while back, don't know if they still do or not, maybe they will chime in. I think the only reason to use that part is to use the distortion/overdrive which everyone agrees is terrible. I have a similar amp that I am rebuilding and I am not going to use the MV pot. I am converting to black panel config.

            THANX ALL!
Actually from comments here and from the Telecaster website, the customer is cool with just installing the 1MA pot (mostly to preserve the integrity of the front panel) and eliminating the 'Boost' switch.
This amp like cake in Macarthur Park, was apparently left out in the rain and is pretty roached. Amazingly without doing very much initially, it worked.

Interesting condition of that chassis and JBL D120's to boot!

Yep D120's are great speakers. The downside is that they make an already heavy amp even heavier. I wouldn't want to lug that thing around.

Agree. The other issue is that the extra weight can crack the standard Fender baffle board if the amp sustains rough handling.
