  • What the heck is it?

It's now time to play everybody's favorite game. "What the heck is it?"

I found this in a box of parts and have no idea what these things. I tried to gently remove the cover but was afraid of braking it.

BTW, it has 11 pins so it is not a solid state replacement for a rectifier tube. There are no markings on it.

Those look like modules for an old Peavey CS800 (either balancing x-formers or crossover modules)

    Picture for reference:

FWIW: It's most likely a balancing transformer as the active crossover modules looked like this:

That said, there were people building all sorts of things into those modules, including passive crossovers, etc.

I have also seen similar 11 pin or 12 pin with jumpers inside. They were used in old tube CB's to jump from 120vac operation to 12vdc with a chopper(vibrator) circuit. But those i agree look like the Peavey type. Wow, old Peavey CS800, had one of those and a Sunn Coliseum slave, Echoplex tape machine, wish i still had the Echoplex.

These look like CS800 jumper modules, fitted if no transformer or crossover modules are used.
