  • Cornell Dubilier Capacitance Box

Can these be used as a substitution box? They appear to be very different to my other resistance and capacitance substitution boxes.

    Link, pictures, specs, datasheets?
For what application: Tube amps or SS, high or low voltage?

      Hi Helmholtz,
I build amplifiers and guitar associated items, mainly using valve/tubes operating at approximately 399V DC.
I wish to experiment with coupling and bypass capacitors and have done so with a Heathkit Capacitance Substitution box but require another box to operate two circuits simultaneously.
I usually apply a 1000Hz signal which I view on my oscilloscope.
I have been offered a Cornell Dubilier Capacitance decade box and I'm wondering if this box is suitable for my experimenting?

They're usually 600V DC, 220V AC. The voltage should be printed in the control panel.
