Dude, I needed to remove the lamp assembly to remove the faceplate to get access to a pot nut to remove and replace the pot. Way too much work for a simple job!

      ESP Multispanner.

Works great in various situations like this.
Also good on guitar pot nuts and tuners.

If it ain't broke I'll fix it until it is...
I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous...

Looks useful. I watched a video Ad about it but they mentioned that it maxes out at 1/2 inch but the pilot light holder nut is 13/16 inch.

I have a set of these super thin "bike wrenches" that work everywhere every time to get in those tight spaces between a chassis wall and a pot or switch or jack or whatever. Great for jam nuts and pilot lights.

I've actually got the same set in both SAE and metric, and they're great, but don't solve the issue with Fender-style pilot lamp nuts - there's so little clearance between the bottom and the lip of the chassis, you really need the super thin "tine-like" head that the Tonecraft wrench has.The offset handle is also super handy, again, for clearance between bottom and lip of chassis.

In my case I needed a 'Z' shaped wrench due to an extended lip in the chasis. A straight wrench and pliers did not work. It did not help that there was a bit of silicone goo on the lamp assembly threads.
