My latest tool purchase, and so far I really like it.
I have been looking at small inverter stick welders for a while.
Read every review I can find on small import welders.
I settled on the Hone 185D Stick welder.
It works on 120 or 240 Volts.
I wired a 120v and a 240v feed outside so I can weld outside the shop.
Today I tried a 3/32 6011, on 120v, and a 1/8 6011 on 240v.
Both ran great.
The welders now have hot start, which eliminates rod sticking.
The start is hotter, and then it goes down to set current.
So far I am very impressed with it.
I have several projects I need to do, so I'm getting setup to do them, when the weather improves.
The welder price started at $140 there was an online coupon for $30, which made it $110.
With free shipping on prime, and prime points, IMO it was a pretty good deal.
