  • electrical connector repairs

while working on my 25yr old car (305k!) I ran across a very comprehensive repair guide for automotive electrical harnesses and connectors that was compiled by the premier Japanese Manufacturer, Toyota.

Since similar connectors have become common in musical equipment I thought some might appreciate it here, enjoy the 451 pages of overkill !

Thanks - that's really interesting. I just skimmed through the first few dozen pages and learned quite a bit. I need to look into the silicone tape they mention for wrapping spliced repairs.

Just the first section alone, on how to open and build the 'special tools' to open the various connectors is fantastic, thanks Ted!
Note that sometimes 'cut the connector' is not literal, but rather, as in 'cut the power'. Maybe other language glitches, but still excellent info.
