Tech in NYC to install drum machine mods
10-21-2020, 06:23 PM
Looking the recs for competent tech in NYC to install a mod kit project into a Casio RZ-1 drum machine. All straightforward but must be able to desolder 28 pin DIP chips form a single sided PCB without board or ESD damage.
Ta!

Though he hasn't posted here in a long while, certainly John Frondeli's shop could handle it.

AFAIK John JR Frondelli is not at DB Audio any more but working independent.
Just wrote him on FB asking whether him or somebody he recommends might be interested.
Will post here any answer, one way or the other.
Of course, you can deal straight with DBM, they are still in business and they are the best.

Thanks guys. The work is pretty basic and the mod kit inexpensive. I suspect DB Audio will be well outside the suitable price range.
