  • George Dennis Footswitch

    Thanks in advance for any help you can give. I'm ISO a schematic for a George Dennis four channel footswitch. I'm hoping to make a clone for a client.

      Cool, thanks for that. It seems the switch is proprietary with bold warnings to not substitute anything else. I wasn't sure what to expect. Switches are available, but they're not at all cheap.

        It says foot switch must be connected before switching the MAINS on! Over engineering like a Mesa Boogie no doubt. Looks really cool though and well built.

          Also note it refers to a foot switch input and a foot switch output on that schematic. I never have thought of foot switches as input or output and more a thru connection. I always just say foot switch jack. I would not say the foot switch output jack. I am evermore curious what is in that foot switch enclosure.

            The switch has an 8 bit microprocessor in it that must need to boot on powerup. It's not hot-swappable probably because the footswitch out goes to another micro processor. I'm guessing it contains the DSP's
