  • Need Cerwin Vega SM-15B crossover schematic

Hello Everyone, If any one could tell me the value of #3 capacitor on a Cerwin Vega SM-15B crossover that would be great. The cap totally burned up, and I can't find a schematic or wiring diagram ect.
    Many thanks in advance. Dehn

ID:	1006250 Thanks for replying x-pro, I see the sm-15 crossover and the sm-15b are different, the burned up cap is a small ceramic type. pics attached

Maybe the "small ceramic cap" is actually

        a thermistor,

        a polyswitch

        or a varistor,

all of which are protection devices and often die while doing their job in an extreme overload.

Crossovers have few components (6-12 tops) and can be traced with a little patience.

Position of "3" in the circuit will suggest function and value, for now draw it like a blank rectangle.

Curious, what is a polyswitch & what does it do? Yes, I'm goofling it now.

Edit: that wasn't nearly as exciting as the name "polyswitch" implied.

Good to see you over here again.
