Midas Legend Console service manual/schematics

My amp-tech friend got pulled into repairing one of these. He found that this particular item is infamous for the service literature and schematics not being available on line. Do any of you have a lead on where I could find them for him?

Damn, I had that service manual years ago. I've had a hard drive crash since and it's no longer in the folder (just checked). I did find that there's a user on diyAudio that says he has it. See post #9 in at this link.

I have this fear of hard drive crashes, having had a few of them. I got into FreeNAS, now called TrueNAS for that reason. I used an old tower case and stuffed eight hard drives into it to run it as a NAS, and pointed incremental backup software to the NAS. The (free) NAS software array can lose any >>three<< of the disks without losing any data.It also self-heals when you replace a failed drive. The array has had several drive failures over the years, but replacing the dead disk auto-magically heals it back to all good.

I had the service manual (before the hard drive crash) because we used to have one of those boards as part of the production facility and I had to maintain it. The board is long gone now, but I remember most of the problems being due to cable connections. Best of luck sorting it out!
