  • magnatone M192-5 schematic

This may be futile, but I have a basket case M192-5 Magnatone that needs much help. It's the model with the chassis on the bottom of the cab. No results so far while searching the usual schematic sites. Anyone have any info??

      Magna M192-5

Hello Pila, I see that you have two schematics for the Magnatone M192-5. Is it possible to get copy's of those schematics ? I have one that has been "repaired" is what I am told. I need to verify original component hook up. Thank you for your time and help. Pete . . . God bless . . .

        Magnatone Inconsistancies in Manufacturing!

I have 2 identical model numbered Magnatone amplifiers. The tolex coverings are like light chocolate on one and dark chocolate on the other. The chassis wiring uses different colored wire and the pre amp and power tubes are in opposite positions. From the underside the wiring was done 180 degrees opposite the other. The speaker were Jensen Electromagnet types. The Chassis' are SOLID copper. I was able to fashion a plate to bolt to existing screw holes for the preamp tube conversion. I used new GT12ax7's Mullards. The amplifier was easily transformed into a '53 tweed deluxe with little modification at all. New Tone Tubby Speakers and she rocks like a beast. Colorful stereo Class A nirvana!!!
        Neil Young would be proud!
