I hear tell these are a very good tube sounding solid state amp.
    Any one know hhat's inside?

The G60(T) I know about is a tube device that was supposed to be something of a Boogie clone ... but then, weren't they all?

nope.... the g60 I've heard about was from some other forum where someone started a thread topic: "what is your favorite solid state amp?"
and several very experianced people piped in regarding the acoustic GT60-112 as being the best they've heard. Apparently someone has even maintains a list of current registered owners of this particular amp from all over the globe.

must be something to it! ???

I'd consider cloning parts of the circuit to upgrade my traynor ss amp with the hopes that it will give me a comparable sound to my tube amp but hopefully be more dependable. My freekin' tube amp seems to break down way too often.

Acoustic Amplifier Schematics and Parts Available!

These are awesome solid-state amps. The G60T WAS a tube amp. Randall Smith copied acoustic tube amps. The 160 and 165 were the originals he copied.

Cool, I'll watch this thread in hopes of learning more.

If I got into that previous thread, it was in favor of the Sunn Beta series.

Many dispute this. Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, Adrian Belew, Ike Willis, and countless others knew the overdriven channel swithing amplifier tone!
