  • AC 15 Schematic help

    I'm going to build a AC15, normal chanel pre amp, and I'm trying to decide if I want to do this with, or without the tremelo channel.

    I'm going to go with an EF86 for the preamp to get that chime.

    On the AC 15 Schematic, I'm looking to get a value on the capacitors C3,and C26 I swear Im seeing 0 as a value, but that cant be can it? I think it should be 0.1?

    It's located here: http://www.schematicheaven.com/voxamps/ac15.pdf

    I'm just putting to gether a parts list and would like to start from stock, but I don't know what value to use.

    Schematic is very poor quality but it seems C3 is 25uF and C26 is 10uF (value in power amp of AC30, very similar phase inverter circuit).
    I also guess that C26 value isn't so critical, it's only power supply filtering.

      They will both be 8µf; standard 60's brit smoothing cap values.

        Thanks,
        We'll give it a try.

        It might get loud next weekend.

          For AC15 schematics OA/031 (Vox AC151960)
          C3 = .01µF (= .05µF for Vox AC15 Bass Amp)
          C26 = .0005µF = 500µµF = 500pF

          For AC15 schematics NO. V-1-5 (Vox American Tube Amp)
          C3 = C26 = 8µF/ 450V (elco)
          It's All Over Now
