AHA! yes, that is a Corby product. ES - EuroSys series of speakers. Still, none of that is in the USA dealer database. I did find an Owners Manual, but it is not very helpful.

Audio, coin op, whatever. Troubleshooting is troubleshooting. Circuits are circuits. If you can fix a jukebox amp, you can fix one of our amps too.

        hello,

I'm currently working on an ES-12PM and in this unit someone did some work before.
The transistor Q3 failed and was replaced by a wrong type. If I'm right it should be a 2N5322. Could one of you confirm that? If so it looks like it's a hard to get type here in europe. Any suggestions for a replacment or for a store in europe to get it?
I also would be delighted to have a look at the schematic. could you forward it to me?

        Thanks ,
        Steven

From looking at the schematic, I think the MJE350 would be a reasonable replacement, and the MJE340 would replace the 2N5320.

Different package, but I don't see many TO39s for sale nowadays, and I know the MJE340/350 are easily available and I've built a few audio power amps with them.
"Enzo, I see that you replied parasitic oscillations. Is that a hypothesis? Or is that your amazing metal band I should check out?"

Hello, I was searching the net for the schematic for the Peavy 12PM and came across your thread here. I was curious if you still had a copy of the scan of the schematic - if so, can I please get a copy. I have a 12 PM here that someone has altered, they removed the leads to the low end driver and as it appears attempted to create an input for a separate/external power amp. I would like to restore the box to its designed state. The high works perfectly and sounds crystal clear - I just need to know where the two leads for the low end driver attach on the board.

                  Thanks for reading.

Does the power amplifier still work?

The usual reason to bypass th power amp and turn the box into a passive one, driven from an external one, is because the internal one is dead, asn't repaired for one reason or another and they still want to use the cabinet.

In any case, post a couple board pictures, maybe we can reasonably guess the proper connection points.

Thank you, everything works; drivers, power, Q - everything. I am not with the unit today. Next week I'll return and take pix.
