  • KORG Concert C-55 piano schematic ?

    Hi,

there is no tone coming out of this thing. The amplifier is working, all LEDs are ON, the main board gets +5,-11 and +20V. I think it is something on the main board. Does anyone have a schematic for this or can give me a hint where to look ?

    Thanks!
    Tilman

P.S. : If it is warmed up - it makes noises like a machine gun and after that - I can here a piano sound but it is a very quiet one.
Than - the machine gun disappears but the piano sound too.....

I have service manual for 15/25/35/45/55 models. It's too large (>5MB) to upload.
    Send me your e-mail address.

      Hi,

      in case someone is interested:

Doctor were so kind to send my the service manuals. Those pianos have a nice self test mode where a lot of internal functions are checked by the pianos software.
I did these tests and it failed to pass the DSP test. I don't think the DSP board is repairable (at least not for me) so I asked KORG for a replacement board.
They said it is no longer available.
      Game over.

        Hi,

I get a serious problem with a Korg Concert C-25 : when power on everything is OK, but after about 1 or 2 minutes the sound is covered by a continuous roar !
So I think the service manual for 15/25/35/45/55 models of Doctor or Tilman would be very helpfull to try to fix this problem.

Doctor or Tilman could you tell me how to get these manuals ?

        I thank you very much
        Claude

P.S. Excuse-me it is difficult for me to write in english and I can't german at all :-(

I have had my Korg Concert C 55 for 14 years and only now, after playing the piano for 10 minutes, a hissing - crackling sound begins.
May request a copy of schematics for the C 55? Very much appreciated.

                      Service-Manual would be great

                      Hello to doctor and Tilman,

my C-55 does still play. But after some time, it begins with a crackling sound an sometimes the tone does fall very silent.
I had a friend looking into the piano. He said, that there is a battery inside, which hat a leakage and so disturbed the contacts. But without the schematic, he is not able to have it fixed.

So doctor or Tilman - or whoever has a service manual: could you please eMail this to me as well ( nabal(at)rd-lorenz.com) ? Your help is greatly appreciated. We use the Piano at church, so it would be very kind, if you could help us out.

                      Thanks in advance,
                      Regards, nabal

                          Thank you

                          Hello doctor and Tilman,

                          thank you for your help.
Sorry, I did not see the threads with the PDF-downloads before. In the pdf-file for the block-diagrams (see http://music-electronics-forum.com/t23718/) , the C-55 is missing, but in the file, that Tilman sent me over it is there.
So I got everything and hopefully my friend will be able to get the piano back working in a reliable way again.

                          Thanks again,
                          Regards, nabal

Hello - I am currently working on a c15s. The caps are mostly bad on the main board. especially the 10/10s. I am also looking for a schematic to finish this unit. The same problem you had. It is before the volume control. I am thinking the dac ic or op amp. Power supply and amp are fine.

If you still have a schematic available for the Korg c15s I would love a copy of the scematic for the main board.
                              Thank you
