  • Fender Blackface Super Twin schematics...

Does anybody have a set of these schematics that they are willing to share?

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

    hope this helps.
Keep in mind that this is not a "true" blackface, but a "post-SF" amp

    Cheers,
    Albert

It does help, thanks! Working with the distortion footswitch circuit , which doesn't switch to distort, and this seems to be the closest schematic.

Not sure what you mean. The only Super Twins and Super Twin Reverbs I have seen do have a black faceplate, but were built around the late 70s / early 80s. "Real" blackface amps were built from '63 to '68.

Sorry for the confussion, never been good at dating these things. It's probably the earliest if not the first of the CBS Fender Super Twin. The schematics you provided (thanks again) were close, but still not exactly what is in this amp.

Everything works very well with the amp. The customer complains that the distortion circuit isn't working. I've replaced tubes, checked all switching voltages and even checked all components and everthing is working, it's just the distortion effect is dismal and lacking. I've read a lot online were many owner's of this model say it's the "sh*ttiest distortion" in an amp and I'm beginning to agree.

Yep, if the distortion sounds like a broken amp, it is working.

Sorry, these are the only schematics I have, apparently there was more than one version.
If it were me, I'd leave it alone and tell the customer to get a tube screamer

Have you looked through the collection at Schematic Heaven?

                They have a couple versions.

                          Hey everyone,

I'm also interested in the schematics, but they don't seem to work anymore - any reuploads possible??

                          Cheers,

Steve, that second pdf won't work, it needs to be resized or zipped.
