Turns out that the volume pedal in this model is an actual lamp/LDR pedal, very elegant. I don't have the original one, so the problem was that with a faulty adaptor, the normal volume pedals would short out the lamp supply, which is directly connected to the negative supply, and this caused the random unexplicable fuse blowing.

Also I found a shorted SN74221.
