I bought an older Spider IV / 30 guitar combo and I also loaned a used FBV2 switch, but only for short time - and channel switching doesn't work. So I don't know what is bad - if footswitch (I haven't it now) or Spider. I haven't other new FBV2 to recognize it. So I want to check this older footswitch in future, if it's damaged to repair it or to make a working copy of it. But I have no idea how FBV footswitches work, but I hope that circuit inside FBV2 (and maybe FBV4 like previous FB4) is simple - only some switches, resistors etc. So I need some informations - schematic, photos etc.

Sorry, I had in mind that it is a different FBV device.
I have not FBV-2 schematics.

Are U still looking for FBV2 or FBV4 schematics? I have FVB4 schematics and lots of photos and a kind of schematics for FBV2 which I slightly modified - check http://sites.google.com/site/patrickmaillot/fbv2.
In the attached file, page 17 it says a standard RJ45 cat5 cable is all you need between the footswitch & the amp.
FBV2 or FBV4 will work with line 6 spider, FBV, FBV shorthand, Floorboard, FB4 will not work.
RJ45 cables have 8 wires.
As you can use the FBV4 footswitch to select tap tempo as well, i am guessing the footswitch is momentary.
i dont have other details
