      Hi sentim.
Problem is it doesnt switch, but sometimes it does. no dry joints!!!
Narrowed problem down to Q10 on smps controller board. Thing is I dont know what this component is. Its 3 pin smd device. Markings have faded.

Try to make an informed guess.
        (An Infoguess?)
Is the device NPN or PNP?
        What package size is it?
What voltages and/ or currents is the device expected to see?
Draw a brief schematic of where the leads go & what they are connected to.

Hi Sentim here is a photo of controller board. The device in question Q1, has been taken out. It doesnt test like any component ive seen before. Thats why I believe its faulty.Click image for larger version

                  Wow.
I never saw a transistor like that.
Yeah, I guess those bias resistors (10K & 47K) would throw off any "normal" diode checks.
Crazy pulse graphs, that's for sure.
