  • Behringer SL2442FX-Pro Main slider replacement

Hello everybody. I am a newbie on the forum and really like all the information that is available. Here is my first cry for help.

I bought this unit with a broken main slider, which I am in the process of replacing. However, the area around the end with the 4 pins is so messy that I am not sure how the 2 dual traces were connected to the pins. Is it 1 trace per pin, or does each pair connect to a single pin? Just a description or a pic of this area of the circuit board would be sufficient.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Sintie

Not having an actual photo, I have attached the schematic diagram of the Main Out section.
The fader, having 4 pins at the bottom, is a stereo fader.
    Two channels in one fader.
You could cut it in half.
In reality there are six pins.
The fader is a glorified potentiometer.
The top pin & the two on the bottom form a variable resistor.(remember, it's cut in half)
Grab your meter & identify the pins.
One of them will be the slider which will change in value as compared to the either of the other two.
The schematic shows the signal coming in at the top, grounding the bottom portion & leaving the slider.
So, the answer to your question is "all three pins, of each half, are being used."
