  • dBx1231 Graphic Equalizer

    Hi All,
Firstly, my apologies for originally posting this request in the wrong forum. I hope this gets me more response?

Secondly, the reason for the post:
I have a dBx1231 in for repairs - one channel is significantly noisier than the other one.

Does anyone have schematics for this machine please?

    Cheers,
    A.

I know the sch is for a 1531, but is may be close enough for you to use.
If you have an audio probe, check the output of each ic, to see where the noise is coming from.
Also, check if any 0V or earth wiring has come loose on the noisy channel.

Noise could also be a bad coupling cap

Moz yer a STAR thank you!

I've probed each of the op-amps with a scope probe - checking for DC off-set and noise, but haven't been able to nail it down yet. I think this schematic will at least give me an idea of which way the signal paths run.

      Cheers,
      A.

Nope, I'm afraid the 1531 is way too different to be of much use, I'm going to have to have the 1232 schematics if at all possible. So if anybody has them I would be much obliged if you would send a copy.
        Thanks very much,
        A.

I'm pretty sure that this post upgraded itself to read "1232" as opposed to "1231".
Either that or my meds are wearing off...
