I recently bought off of ebay a very nice old hollowbody guitar. It has no electronics in it at all.Would like to return it to its original condition, but no problem if I have to modernize. It's a Kay Speed Demon triple pickup.Iv'e heard one of them being played on you tube and it is totally awesome.Does anyone know of this guitar and where I might come up with the proper electronics? Any help will really be appreciated.Thanks...Lonnieboy

    Hi Lonnie:
I rewound 3 of them for a guy last year.
I would try to find some that need to be rewound, the ones on ebay are pretty high.
I wouldn't pay too much for an old one, they will need to be rewound eventually anyway.
They have IMO a fundamental flaw that the small start magnet wire is soldered to the baseplate.
They always seem to break where soldered to the baseplate.
    Good Luck,
