  • Ampeg R-12RA Gutshot Needed

I have in front of me a 1964 Ampeg R-12RB Reverberocket. It has been enthusiastically butchered at some point in its life.

It has been converted from 7591As to 6V6s. It seems to have sprouted several transistors. It has a Princeton O/P transformer.

I think the kindest thing to do is to rebuild it as an R12RA. (Given the near unobtainability of decent 7591As).
Having looked at the difference between the RA and RB schematics, the differences are mainly around which section of which valve does what. RA uses half a 6SN7 for reverb recovery, RB uses a 6SL7. Also the RB has a semiconductor rectifier. Oh and the use of 6V6 or 7591As.

Does anyone have a clear internal picture of the main eyelet board of an R12RA?

    That is a tough one.
    Try this link.
About 2/3 down are some gut shots.
