    Hello,
I need some help in re-wiring the AC power cord on this Motorola Turntable WR4
This is the one that transmits the signal to a nearby AM radio.
The power cord has been compromised and has been cut.
It has 3 wires coming out of the amplifier, but someone has cut the wires and joined it in to a 2 wire plug which I am not sure is correct.
What is the correct wiring pattern for this and can I patch a modern 3 wire plug into this.
I still have a good amount od the original 3 wire harness coming out of the amplifier to re-connect it.
    Please advise and Thank You!

So it works on two wire? That tends to mean the power cord with two wires is wird to the correct two wires in the three wire cable. That leaves one more conductor, which very likely is just the ground. get out your meter and see if that wire shows continuity to the frame of this thing.

Look inside and see where the three wires are connected.

Is the unused wire green? Green is chassis ground or earth ground in both American power cords with black and white wires, and in impost power cords with blue and brown wires.
