Back in 1967, I was an avid reader of Popular Electronics AND a fledgling rock and roll guitar player. I had built as "Fuzz Box" that was in an article and It was the BOMB. I could sustain a note for weeks with that thing and instead of being "fuzzy" it made notes sound "round"...that is the only way I can describe it. I actually built 5 or 6 for other guitar players because the sound was so great.
I was wondering if anyone would know how to either find that article(I know Popular Electronics has changed a lot,,but I actually had a copy of the edition up until about 10 years ago when my second ex wife decided I didn't need any of my stuff anymore. It was a pretty simple circuit,,,a transistor preamp into another transistor causing the signal to clip at the output. Certain caps would change the amount and shape of the tones.
If anyone has any idea, it would be great.
