Agree.
Factories buy in bulk, so they pay much less than us and in case you have a roomful, why not use them anywhere?
Marshall used the same MJ2901/3001 an relatively expensive metallic TO3 Darlington pair, from 100W amps to the tiny Lead 12, which is absolute overkill.
