  • 1979 Fender Pro Reverb Master Volume

I picked up a poorly 1979 Fender Pro Reverb with push/pull master volume on the weekend. I was told it was a AA1069 circuit but neither that or the AA1009 & AB668 schemes which seem to be about show the MV circuit. So I presume they are all pre 74.

Has anybody got the correct Scheme they can share?

My serial is A993658. T/former is stamped 606-919 if that helps.

Have a look at the 2 CBS drawings under pro reverb on this page:

Check out the ultralinear one that has a master volume. The extra tapps on the UL terminate to the screens of the 6L6's.
i.e. You can tell if yours is UL by 2 wires going from output transformer to both 6L6 tube sockets.

Hmm, I saw that one and assumed without looking at it that it was non-master, as the CBS 70WMstrVol version is also UL.
Now looking at them both I see they have the same drawing number and are the same, just listed under different names .

That's brilliant. Thanks gents. An extra 100 internet points for anyone who can find a layout drawing as well

NOTE: Fender didn't issue layout diagrams during that era.
