I have this problem too! It would appear that MB diligently hunts down anyone in possession of one of these rare and valuable documents and makes them disappear without a trace...

Mesa has always been very helpful. They just don't want a schematic for an amp they're still making $$$ on in the public domain. In this particular case I doubt they'd just gratuitously send you one too. If you wanted a schem for something like the standard Dual Recto they'd probably just email it to you. But try this...

Find the nearest authorized Mesa tech to you. Go in there with a box of doughnuts and tell them/him what you're up to. "I want to build one of these for myself for the fun of it. I won't spread it around on line." The worst they can do is say "No. But thank you for the doughnuts. Free coffee is over there."

But you don't get anything if you don't ask. It's a shady world with information tech threatening design and property rights. I think your only shot, for now, is through someone Mesa WILL give the schem to. That, or wait for five more years when they care less and the schem has leaked onto the interwebs.

Actually, i am repairing it for a co-worker. He tried to get one from them, but again, no luck. As this seems to be a common problem, (the hum when switched to 10 watts) i shall recommend he take it to Craig's Music in Weatherford, Tx, which is only a 2hr drive from our area, and see if there is something they will do on behalf of MB, since the tech there is an authorized MB tech. I have been repairing guitar amps, mainly as a sideline, since i was in high school, (1972) which got me into the electrical/electronics career field but haven't been authorized by MB. I have access thru my Grove Tubes tube amp book to many MB schematics, and have used a couple. I once owned a Mk2C MB, but got tired of having to fix it all the time.

Well then YOU should contact Mesa. Like I said, the worst they can do is say no.

Call them on the phone. Tell the guy about the problem you're having. There's actually a good chance they've dealt with it and have a suggestion OR when they find out you know what you're doing and just want to help a Mesa customer they may actually send you a schem. Seriously, call them.
