  • Behringer B115D schematic

    Hi.
Got 2 of these for repair today. I have never worked on these or even seen them before.
Anyone have some service tips for these puppies. A schematic would be Bonus too.

From the few that I have seen:
The soldering on these is usually lacking , as far as quality goes.

    The SMPS for sure.
The solder never wicks up to the top side of the board.

I believe the output is a class D ic, so look up the datasheet for it.
Most manufacturers simply go by it.

    Nope. No schematic.

      Schematic for B215D

Here is the schematic for the B215D model.
Maybe it will be close enough.

Dead unit arrived on bench. On power up, just goes tick...tick...tick, like two second cycle, with flashing of LEDs. I don't see a relay inside the amp chassis, so not sure what's ticking.

I see replacement amps from Full Compass for $99, so don't want to get too deep into this. Anyone seen this issue?

It's probably the amp/power supply trying to protect itself. It cycles on, goes into protect, cycles on, goes into protect, etc. Check your output devices for shorts.
