Would anyone have a schematic for a VHT Pitbull. The model number on the back is: C5084.

    Thanks in advance,

I repaired one of those a year or so ago. Someone had installed the wrong tube in the reverb position and let the smoke out of the amp. No tube chart or labels, nothing on line. They do not release schematics, but are more than willing to assist you with questions via email or phone. They were very helpful when I emailed them. I would recommend just giving them a shout. I doubt you'll get a schematic.

I've emailed them twice, gotten no response from them at all. The one we have in for repair has the same problem you are describing. The amp came in with all 12a_7 tubes as preamps. From what little info I can gather there should be an EF86 as the reverb driver V4. Any insite you can share would be greatly appreciated. Never had one of these in before.

      Thanks,

Reverb tube is supposed to be an EL84. Assuming your amp suffered the same damage from the wrong tube being installed, there will also be 3 burnt resistors. Unfortunately, I don't recall which ones, but 2 in the reverb tube circuit and one over near the power supply. They were very obviously burnt- black and unrecognizable. That is what prompted me to call/email them. I needed resistor values and tube chart. If you get no email response, maybe give them a call if need be. As I said, they were very helpful. I believe I contacted them using the information on this page:

Normally, I would be able to look up the old invoice and tell you exactly what parts I replaced. However, our server went down last month and we are still waiting for the drives to be rebuilt, so I have no access to anything.

Edit: Here's my old pitbull thread. It might help.
