Hi guys,
Just an update. I replaced the MOSFETS, as both were totally shorted. All other parts checked out ok.
Powered up after the dim bulb check, Variac started to hear audio. Full voltage, a brief test it was functioning good.
I set the bias adjustment per specs on the schematic. All voltages looked on spec.
It sounds great, the effects functions as it should.
One thing I noted, it did not use thermal paste on the MOSFETS. Paste was only used on a small transistor held down by the heat sink>
The MOSFET used 'Si pads', which I read it was not recommended that thermal paste to be used. The parts did not get hot at all after 1/2 hour of being powered up.
Thanks to all that gave he help on this amp, it's really appreciated.
If any of you all ever need a diagram or help with a vintage radio, give me a shout.
Take care, Gary.
