  • Boss ME-20

I need a schematic of the power input section.

I notice that almost all Roland/Boss is missing from Elektrotanya. What Happened?

The input may be the same as all of the ME pedals.

    Spec's on the power adapter:

    Specifications:
    I/P AC:100V~240VAC
    50-60Hz
    O/P DC:9V DC 1A
    Chord: 46in
    Tip: (-)center, (+)outer

The DSS310 is an EMI suppressor

This one seems to be different from other ME-xx pedals. The switching regulator is BD9851.

I have a dead short at the adaptor jack. An exact schematic would make it easier to trace
      though the SMD jungle.

The input protection diode is not shorted. Maybe not worth fixing.

Can you not post the schematic?
That one in particular seems to be MIA.

If boss/roland manuals have actually disappeared from elektrotanya, then they are probably on a "cease and desist" mission with their lawyers involved. They charge good money for their service manuals and can probably easily prove they suffer financial damage from copyright infringement.

It turned out to be a short in the windings of the torroidal EMI filter FL1.

I can understand not sharing some manuals publicly. As much as I'd like to,
              I have a some I can't share.

The Boss manuals are back at Elektrotanya, but there is only one Roland: the JC-55
