Happy NEW YEARS!!!!!!
A friend found a deeel on a non working amp at a thrift. So.... Now I need a number on a transistor for a Trace TA60 CR Acoustic Amp. The amp must be an older version prior to the Penguin schematic that is offered here, as the TR-2 on the output board is shown as a TIP31c with a TO220 case. The item which was cracked and encrusted with thermal grease was a TO-92 case, much smaller, but was mounted in a silk screened circle on the board not like a TO220 case which is a square printing on the board. I need to know what the old circuit was to make a choice of replacements. I pulled the broken one out and the number crossed to a 2n3409 among others, but when I tried to confirm the cross ref I couldn't find it again. It is probably now in the vacuum cleaner. So long story to short, is there a pre penguin Service manual out there anywhere for the TA60CR? Thanks
