Anyone have a SM or schematic? Got one with no sound.

Have you tested the speaker itself? Any amplifier has a power supply, which should be recognizable without a drawing. Do the caps charge? If it has peak lights, do they flash with peaks? Any sort of preamp inside with op amps ought to have a +/-15v power supply, it that present at the ICs?

Is the power supply linear or SMPS? Is the amp itself linear or digital?

      Good questions.

      Its not the speaker.

The main rails are good and are at the output devices.

I need to check the low v supplies. The limiter light isnt lighting. The Logo light is.

Its definitely SMPS. And prrtty sure it's Class D.

Scratch that. The -45v supply is good. The other is +42v and slightly fluctuating. This remains with the PA disconnected.

A little info on what is in here, since we don't have a schematic.

There is TIP31 and TIP32 in here. They're on the pcb that the input jacks are mounted to. They test fine with my meter, no obvious shorts.

There are 2 78m33 regulators. It's a +3.3v type. Yes 2. And I don't see any others, therefore the lack of a negative complementary regulator. ??
They each however have different "other" codes on them. One is 78m33 1cmjnye, and the other is, 78m33 21mcf2e.

The + supply feeding them is fluctuating +9-14v. And the 3.3v is there for a millisecond, then gone, it's pulsing.

The PA has two STP14NF12 on each output board. (2 boards). http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...Pna0lGxA%3D%3D.

Did you call EV and ask if they would provide it?

Did you look on the EV Web site?

They have current and discontinued schematics.

I did and dont see it. I emailed them a week ago. Guess I'll try to call. I saw online someone saying they wont provide them to non-authorized service people. I'm definitely gonna call anyway and see what I can get.
