I was contacted by someone who has one of these multi-effects floor units from the early 1980s and was hoping to use it with guitar. He tells me that the envelope-controlled filter part doesn't respond very well to higher notes on the guitar, so I gather the rectifier portion is limiting its sensing bandwidth to something appropriate to bass.
I think I know where, in the circuit, that's happening (I assume the circuit is similar to its contemporary, the Ibanez AFL, which uses the same optoisolators and Mutron-derived circuit), but the correspondance between the circuit and part numbers eludes me.
If you can point me to a schematic of either the whole thing, or just the filter part, that would be great.
TIA
